Next Phase of Worthing Heat Network Construction to Continue This Autumn

Work on the Worthing Heat Network will continue this autumn, with a short programme of construction activities scheduled from early September through to October half term.

This phase of work will deliver the western arm of the network towards the Pavilion Theatre, helping extend the benefits of low-carbon, reliable heat to more buildings and organisations across the town.

To reduce disruption, the project team will use underground drilling techniques beneath Brighton Road and Marine Parade. By installing pipework below ground in this way, traffic will be able to continue flowing as normal while construction takes place.

The programme has also been carefully planned around Worthing’s busy autumn events calendar. Construction activities have been scheduled to avoid impacts on major community events, including the Food and Drink Festival and Night to Remember, and will be completed well ahead of Bonfire Night.

This represents a relatively short period of work that has been designed to minimise disruption while allowing progress on an important piece of local infrastructure. Hemiko would like to thank residents, businesses and visitors for their continued patience and support as the network is expanded.

Looking Ahead

Further works will be required on other sections of the Worthing Heat Network later in the year. These activities will be planned with the town’s important Christmas trading period firmly in mind. Information on locations, timings and any traffic management arrangements will be shared well in advance of works commencing.
